*Happy Birthday today to Mira Langdon and Alvina Stephenson, on Saturday to Emily Brown and Cole Comstock and Sunday to Matthew Jennings, Connor Stinson and Sidney Voss. Please stop by the Athletic Office to pick up your OHS water bottle.

*The Owosso Girls Swim and Dive took on Swartz Creek/Flushing team Thursday night. Swartz Creek and Owosso came into the meet tied for second place in the Flint Metro League. As they have done all season the Girls dominated from start to finish winning 11 of 12 events. The final score was an impressive Owosso 118, Swarz Creek 68. First place finishes when to: The Medley relay team of Alexis Chamberlin, Lily Espinoza, Sidney Voss, Katie Clevenger, Allie Pumford in the 200 and 100 free, Lily Espinoza in the IM and Breaststroke, Mallory Irelan in the 50 free and fly, Katie Clevenger in diving, the 200 free relay team of Clevenger, Erika Ochodnicky, Pumford, Irelan, Chamberlin in the backstroke and the 400 Free Relay team of Pumford, Ochodnicky, Voss, Irelan.The girls have had an amazing season finishing with a record of 9-1. They look to continue that success with a hard week of practice next week follow by the conference meet.

*The JV football team ended the season with a big win over Linden, 28-14.

*Any student having issues with their chromebook keyboard, for example certain keys are not working, should let Ms. Lieberman or Mrs. Guyski immediately. They are only under warranty for a short amount of time.

*Attention all students, are you interested in designing a College T-Shirt for a Teacher? Come down to room 310 during your lunch to create a shirt on Friday of this week. Sign up is outside the cafeteria.

*Freshman through varsity preseason workouts for girls' basketball will be the week of October 23 3:15-4:15 Monday-Friday. Meet outside the main office.

*Any girl interested in playing basketball, please sign up on the sheets posted next to the girls' basketball bulletin boards located in the athletic office hallway. Tryouts start Nov 6 4:00-6:00.

*Competitive Cheer tryouts will be held on Nov 6 and 7, come pick up an information packet in room 308.

*Attention Key Club Members: Fall Rally permission slips are now available in room 107 with Mrs. Thiel/Krajcovic or Mr. Nizinski in room 401. Fall Rally will take place on November 11th at Mt. Pleasant High School. Please turn in permission slips by this Friday, October 20th.

*This Friday, Key Club will be painting pumpkins for Kiwanis Village. All students are welcome to join us in this activity. Please meet Friday in the library after school.

*New York! New York! Art Club is having an informational meeting Friday at 6:30 in room 212.

*10th & 11th – The PSAT/NMSQT Registration Window will close next Monday at 3 p.m. Cost is $20. For students who qualify through the free or reduced lunch program the cost is $5. Register with Mrs. Pilon in the SSC before school, during lunch or after school. If you do not already qualify for the waiver but think you might, visit www.lunchapp.com and follow the instructions to apply.

*11th and 12th – If you want to attend the field trips to Mott Community College on October 24th and Michigan State University on October 26th, the permission slip deadline has been extended until this Friday, October 20th. For the MSU trip, applicants must also submit a printed copy of their current EDP from Career Cruising and attach it to their permission slip.

*11th and 12th – There is a field trip from 9:15-11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27th to attend the MACRAO sponsored College Fair, hosted by Baker College of Owosso. There will be approximately 40 Colleges along with Military in attendance. This will give students the opportunity to ask questions and gather information from many different institutions. The deadline to submit your permission slip has been extended to next Wednesday, October 25th. Extra permission slip copies are in the SSC.

*Students do you want to be involved in a unique community opportunity? If so, the Alliance for a Drug-Free Shiawassee invites your voice on Saturday, November 4 in a Community Action Forum. Please see your counselor if you are interested.
