Chemistry - Graded the 5.4 sheet and worked on preparing for the Chap 5 test tomorrow. 

Honors Chemistry - Test corrections from yesterday.  Read and take notes over 13.1 up to electron orbitals.

AP Chemistry - Formula of a Hydrate lab.  We will collect the final data tomorrow.


Wednesday Agenda, 9-14-16  

Chemistry - Went over the 5.3 sheet.  Chap 5 quest will be Friday.

AP Chemistry - Finished going over the practice MC questions.  Set up lab notebooks and began the write ups in the lab notebook.  The formula of a hydrate lab will be tomorrow and Friday.  The MC exam portion will be Monday with the FR portion on Tuesday.

Chemistry - Finished up coloring the periodic tables.  Passed out the 5.3 sheet for tomorrow.

Honors Chemistry - Graded the 5.4 sheet and went over the 5.3 sheet.  The Chap 5 quest will be tomorrow.

AP Chemistry - Went over the odds from yesterday as a class.  We did a practice MC set from chapters 3 and 4 and went over in class.  The stoichiometry lab will be Thursday and I would like to have the MC portion of the exam for stoichiometry on Friday, with the free response portion on Monday.  


Monday Agenda, 9-12-16  

Chemistry - Start coloring the periodic table based on the groups, metals/nonmetals, etc.  We will have class time tomorrow to finish up. Chap 5 quest will be Thursday or Friday.

Honors Chemistry - Wrap up coloring the periodic table and complete the 5.3 and 5.4 sheets for tomorrow.  One will be graded.  Chap 5 quest will be Wednesday. 

AP Chemistry - Finish up 4.5 and 4.6 lectures.  Go over sample problems and assign odds #69-75, 79-87.  We will have 20 minutes or so to wrap up tomorrow.  The first lab will be on Wednesday or Thursday of this week, with the Stoichiometry exam to follow.

Honors Chemistry - Went over the net ionic problem from Tuesday as a class and then students were able to use the rest of the time to work on the Chap 8 review problems 39 a, b, c, 47-54 on page. 232.  The Chap 8 assessment will be on Wednesday of next week.

Chemistry - Continued going through the single replacement reactions and practice problems.

AP Chemistry - 16.5 lecture on strong acids and then started the 16.6 lecture on weak acids and the differences between them.


Wednesday Agenda, 2-10-16  

Honors Chemistry - Net ionic equations practice problems.  Showed a demo with AgNO3 and NaCl combining to produce AgCl solid as a product.

Chemistry - Redo for the balancing chemical equations problems from Monday and then began looking at single replacement reactions and their characteristics.

AP Chemistry - Went over the odds from yesterday and then went into the lecture for 16.3 and .4.

AP Chemistry - Work day for finalizing the lab notebooks, evens, and released free response questions.  Exam will be Thursday. Equilibrium lab will be tomorrow and Wednesday.

Honors Chemistry - Passed out practice set of complete and balance problems.  Assigned #1-8 for Monday.  

Chemistry - Naming and writing formulas quiz.  Can be replaced by quizzes taken in the future until next Friday.  Four balancing chemical reactions practice problems were also given out for Monday.

AP Chemistry -  Wrapped up 17.7 qualitative analysis of cations in solutions.  Passed out the lab sheets for Tuesday and Wednesday's labs.  Equilibrium exam will be next Thursday.
